BOND: A portfolio of wines that are diverse in their geographic representation and 'Grand Cru' in quality, all under the umbrella of one philosophy, one team, one mark. “Bond is their covenant with select vineyards estates and shared commitment to produce the best expression of the land.”
Sourced from select hillside estates, the Cabernet Sauvignon wines of BOND vividly demonstrate the range of Napa Valley's finest terroirs. From the more than sixty vineyards they have worked with over the past quarter century they have slowly and vigilantly selected five sites. BOND became their covenant and shared commitment to produce only the best expression of the land.
By way of this valuable experience, they had the opportunity to identify select properties that they felt had the potential to define the "Grand Crus" of Napa Valley. These small, hillside Cabernet vineyards, ranging in size from 7 to 11 acres became the basis for the wines of BOND.
VECINA is coined from the Spanish word for neighbor. This is our endeavor with the property situated directly southeast of the BOND winery.
“Another wine flirting with perfection is the 2010 Vecina, the nearby neighbor of Harlan Estate on the western hills overlooking the Oakville Corridor, and further south, Yountville. A Graves-like effort, it displays notes of burning embers, scorched earth, creme de cassis, and charcoal. Primordial, dense, rich, full-bodied, masculine and backward, this is another example of a wine built for half a century of cellaring. Forget it for 7-10 years and watch the pleasure unfold thereafter.” - Robert M. Parker Jr.'s The Wine Advocate.
