BOND: A portfolio of wines that are diverse in their geographic representation and 'Grand Cru' in quality, all under the umbrella of one philosophy, one team, one mark. “Bond is their covenant with select vineyards estates and shared commitment to produce the best expression of the land.”
Sourced from select hillside estates, the Cabernet Sauvignon wines of BOND vividly demonstrate the range of Napa Valley's finest terroirs. From the more than sixty vineyards they have worked with over the past quarter century they have slowly and vigilantly selected five sites. BOND became their covenant and shared commitment to produce only the best expression of the land.
By way of this valuable experience, they had the opportunity to identify select properties that they felt had the potential to define the "Grand Crus" of Napa Valley. These small, hillside Cabernet vineyards, ranging in size from 7 to 11 acres became the basis for the wines of BOND.
ST. EDEN is based upon an 11-acre rocky knoll that is part of a beautiful estate located just north of the Oakville Crossroad. Eden is an historical reference to this region's designation on nineteenth century maps.
“From the valley floor, the 2010 St. Eden exhibits copious notes of creme de cassis, loamy, dusty soil undertones, forest floor, toasty oak and plenty of sweet tannin in its full-bodied, massive personality. Again, these wines are not meant for near-term gratification, so 5-6 years of cellaring is warranted. This is another 30-year wine from Bond.” - Robert M. Parker Jr.'s The Wine Advocate.
