Quick Overview

Bella Vista’s owner Imre Cziraki began making wine at age 7 with his grandfather in Hungary. He purchased his first vineyard in La Cresta in 1982, which was followed by the purchase of his Bella Vista Vineyard in 1998 and the winery property in 2004. The first renovation was to take a large storage room and transform it into our expansive tasting room. other changes included improvements to our cask room where parties and receptions can be held. Enjoy our picnic area with shady palapas area along a brickwork walkway that circles our duck pond. In the future, facilities will be added to accommodate weddings, parties and events.Bella Vista Winery and Vineyard of Temecula uses 80% estate grown grapes and 20% other Temecula grapes to make it’s wines. The winery has a crush capacity of 280 tons with a production of approximately 19,000 cases of wine per year.

Under the direction of Vittorio Moretti and winemaker Mattia Vezzola, Bellavista make brilliant, refined yet full-flavoured sparkling wines that deservedly sell for the same prices as good non-vintage Champagne. Most include at least a component of barrel-fermentation to add further complexity. The non-vintage Brut Cuvée (predominantly Chardonnay with a little Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc) is the most affordable, and made in by far the greatest quantities, of the DOCG Franciacorta. Gran Cuvée Brut is a step up, 3 parts Chardonnay to one of Pinot Noir. The Rosé is a sheer delight (60/40 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) while the soft, creamy and delicately sparkling non-vintage Satèn is a lovely example of this low-pressure style. Pas Operé has no final addition of sugar, making it the driest of the range. A Riserva named after the owner has extended ageing on its lees (around 6 years). The still wines are sold under the Terre di Franciacorta DOC. The best of these is the rich, complex Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco blend, Convento della Santissima Annunciata. Varietal Chardonnay Uccellanda is rich and oaky while a Pinot Noir, Casotte, has good texture but is not among the best Italian examples (see North-East Italy). A powerful Cabernet/Merlot blend, Solesine, can show well with 5–10 years’ age when from a warm vintage. None of the still wines offers particularly good value for money but try the very classy fizz at least.

Details

A great classic from a particularly good year. This 2004 Franciacorta is right up there at the top. The color is a bold straw-yellow with reflections that oscillate between intense yellow and slightly golden, while the aroma is complex and intense on fruity notes including yellow peach and medlar. A slight touch of olive enhances the depth before floral scents like hawthorn and gorse take over. T

Bellavista is the best Italian sparkling brand from LOMBARDIA, Franciacorta. Super sophisticated, delicate and creamy bubble, complexity, perfect balance like a glider(aircraft), mellow sweet, refined wine.

Nose: A broad and inviting scent of ripe white-flesh honey and a deep and persistent one of delicate white the considerable persistence with great elegance. The progressive verticality highlights its very particular character.
Color:  Pale yellow.
Taste:
Perfect match to the nose with plenty of dried fruit, and as much as 4/4 in length. The breadth and persistence, volume and crispness, verticality and freshness are all remarkable, while its sweet and easily detected acidity provides a clear indication of its long aging capacity for the pleasure of the most demanding palates.
Finish:  The wine turns much more intense and mineral-driven on the mid-palate and finish.
ABV: 12.5%
